What
UWA’s new Crowd Research site draws together and promotes concepts of Crowdfunding and Crowdsourcing for research activities at UWA.
Projects seeking funding will be hosted on www.chuffed.org
Why
The site provides a platform to engage with the global community and involve the public in our research at UWA.
Engagement can occur in a number of ways, including participation, becoming a citizen scientist, or by making a financial contribution for a specific research project.
How
Applications for Crowd Research projects are assessed by the Office of Research.
Crowd Research projects will have their own sites that outline the project and requirements. These sites can include video, audio and digital images as well as an outline of the research project. Researchers are expected to provide their own content. The ORE will create the web pages in consultation with researchers.
Where applicable, projects must attain the appropriate ethics approvals.
